Had a lovely Sunday lunch, one roast beef, one nut roast a pint and half of Christmas ale beside a log fire. Perfect on a wet winters day. Impeccable service.
Vegetarian options: Top notch nut roast.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Had a really nice pie and mash. Warm fire on one of the coldest days after a bracing walk

Lovely old pub. Cosy and friendly. Was great to have two vegan options for Sunday roast and both were delicious, however was no vegan pudding option so had to go without which was a shame.

Lovely old pub in the centre of the village. We had a lovely meal. Authentic, home-made, tasty pies and the desserts were lovely too.
Parking was out the way on a side street but not far to walk.
They have lovely soap in the loos and free WiFi. I'll be happy to return.

Popped in for a drink. It was a quiet time and the garden was a beautiful place to relax 😌

A nice old pub with the typical low ceilings, very older worldy.
Service and atmosphere were good food was average, beer was very nice.
Seemed to be a lot of stuff off the menu, perhaps because they had been busy earlier in the day with the village fete
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian in our group wasnt overly impressed with the vegetarian option.
They had vegetarian Wellington but I dont think they'd order it again
Parking: No car park but we just managed to find a spot in the street

Very picturesque traditional pub serving a wide variety of well known and local beers
I didn't try the food but it looked well presented and certainly smelled good
My favourite part was the beer garden which was just about as good as they get
If you are visiting the Cerne giant I recommend dropping in here

Delicious food, nice quiet atmosphere, and even though they were short staffed, they were attentive and friendly. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was magnificent 👌👌
Kid-friendliness: They provided a highchair and have kid's meal options on the menu.

Visited The Royal Oak for lunch. The menu had a brilliant choice. The standard was very high and a lot better than more expensive competitors in the area for a fraction of the price. The landlord&lady were warm and welcoming. And the quality of food was incredible. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
