We stayed over the bank holiday in Aug and it’s so quiet and peaceful. Food was amazing and my husband said it was the best breakfast. All the staff went above and beyond especially Haley and another lady whose name we didn’t know. Fantastic little find.
Rooms: Clean and well presented could just do with a little more TLC. as carpets and wardrobe a bit dated
Nearby activities: Very quite but Weymouth was lovely
Safety: Could do with a mind your head on the stairs where the door opens as it’s slanted and my husband hit his head
Food & drinks: Food was outstanding
Noteworthy details: A lovely inn and made to feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble

My husband and I were on holiday in Cerne Abbas and came across this very special place on our first day walk. What a wonderful find, we were warmly received by Annette and Julian, who showed a great interest in us and where we had come from and checking out where we may visit while in Dorset.
We loved this place so much we visited 4 times for evening drinks and meals. The recommendations for local beers, wine and Gin were excellent. They were always interested on our daily adventures.
We can honestly say the place had a wonderful vibe with pleasant background music not to loud, and listening to the local banter was heart- warming. Also lovely to see all dog visitors getting doggy treats from the owners. Always served with a smile
The food was absolutely delicious, they have a very talented chef, the presentation and food portions were spot on and there was no waste from us !
Thank you for a marvellous time at The new Inn and we will be back again soon and will definitely book a stay as well .
If we could give you 6 stars we would

We stayed here one night in early July ( visiting from Australia but born in Dorset).. A lovely atmospheric room with modern bathroom. We opted for dinner in the restaurant and had probably the best sunday roast we have ever had , roast beef done just right with yorkshire pud my mother would be proud of - high praise indeed! Accompanied by a range of vegetables that were great but almost too many to finish. Ditto for Breakfast the following day . Staff ( owners? ) took great pride in this establishment and delightful to boot. So thoroughly recommend the New Inn. .

Such a charming place, you can tell it's very old from all of the uneven floors and aged wood beams. The service and staff were excellent, great breakfasts. I must admit I didn't pay for my stay but I can say you will enjoy it.
Nearby activities: If you're in Cerne Abbas you have to see the giant, just a walk away from the Inn. Otherwise just going for a wander in the area is quite nice. The tank museum is not far away which is a blast. The cliffs on the coast nearby are also very beautiful, I went to Lulworth cove.

Gorgeous pub for a smart night/lunch out. Beautiful environment, welcoming staff and, the three times we have eaten her, the food has been top notch. They really care about the provenance of their food and, although a little pricy, it is certainly reflected in the quality of ingredients and execution of every dish.
Log fire in the winter, sheltered sunny garden in the summer. What more could you ask for?
Food & drinks: Super selection, fresh, carefully picked and well delivered. Good wines and fresh beers.

Visited the pub for lunch and glad we did, we didn't stay in the hotel but from what we saw of the place it looked lovely.
My wife and I ordered fish and chip sandwiches (butties) and got much much more than that, really wasn't expecting what arrived but it was brilliant, loved it. I won't describe it but invite you to try the food here, all I can say is we left there full and happy. Very friendly staff, excellent parking and a beautiful place. Thanks guys.
Food & drinks: Refreshingly different perspectives on food and would return any time.
